THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW WHEN YOU ENTER UK
Friends are you in United Kingdom ? or planning to coming United Kingdom ? I know may be you are afraid or may be you are confuse that how will you get to about the things once you arrived here. You do not need to worry about it as this blog might help you. When I was came to this beautiful country I was totally lost and confused about each information and I am writing this blog for you my friends.
So very important things you should know,
First one :
Once your arrive in the country you need collect the BRP(Biometric residence permit) first from the given post office address in the letter you have receive with the passport as visa conformation.
So. why it is necessary ?
what is BRP ?
here is the answer for it
A Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) is a secure identity card that contains personal information as well as biometric information for people who have authorization (through a visa) to stay in the United Kingdom for more than six months.
When your visa is approved, you will be given a vignette (passport sticker) that is good for 30 days. The vignette will begin 30 days before the course start date on your CAS or seven days before the date you stated as your anticipated date of travel to the UK on your application, whichever is later.
If you are unable to travel within 30 days, you must apply for a new vignette.
You will be required to collect your BRP within 10 days of your arrival to the UK. The BRP will confirm the full length of your visa.
BRP card is looks like this , It the photo identity card for the time you live in the UK. Please always keep it with you as your identity, Its my personal advise to you it is better that you carry BRP card with you wherever you go instead of passport.
Then next one :
Once you collect the BRP card first thing you should do is apply for the National Insurance number.
Throughout your life, your National Insurance Number serves as a unique reference number for the UK social security system.
It assists HMRC in ensuring that your tax and NI contributions are correctly recorded against your name. This is significant since your eligibility for some benefits, such as the State Pension and Incapacity Benefit, is contingent on how much National Insurance you've paid in the past.
The process of the NI number is bit longer. You might will receive it within 5-6 months once you applied, It is my personal experience. You can apply for NI number from the government website
Third and last one is :
GP Registration is very important as General practitioners (GPs) handle a wide range of medical problems and refer patients to hospitals and other medical facilities for urgent or specialty care. They emphasis the complete person's health by integrating physical, psychological, and social elements of treatment.
Whenever you apply for visa application for United Kingdom, one of the requirement is to pay NHS fees with the application.
You can visit the website https://www.nhs.uk/nhs-services/gps/how-to-register-with-a-gp-surgery/ for the registration and you can find further details regarding medical service on it as well.
I have written this because when I entered in the country I was only aware about the collecting the BRP card, for other two I was late doing it.
Hope this information is helpful to you and like me you can also help other new people who are coming to the UK for the new phase of their life.
I will write other friendly information as much as I can and for that please visit the my blog in the future. This blog is my personal experience I might be wrong somewhere but I really wanted to share this information so I did.
All the very best for the new life in the beautiful country United Kingdom and please do comment if you find this blog helpful.
Namaste !!
